To whom it may concern,

This letter is to express my support for Mr. Paul Harvey. In the time I have worked with Mr. Harvey I have seen him work closely with and nurture a new teacher in individualized GED instruction, seek out “best practice” resources to improve the classroom experience and develop a dozen highly skilled volunteer tutors who helped make for truly one on one instruction.

I have seen him work closely with our GED program participants to help them solve life barriers which interfered with their education and to find jobs and training after passage of their GED. He has represented the Westcott Community Center with his attendance and participation on various community / advocacy / literacy related meetings including in the “Lit Zone” efforts headed by the Syracuse City Schools. His passion and efforts to help anyone needing assistance have enriched the lives of all who sought our services.

Mr. Harvey’s efforts grew Westcott’s’ GED program into one with the best if not the best GED graduation numbers in Syracuse City school district. The programs reputation was such that various other schools and Human service agencies within the city and county sought us out.

Mr. Harvey is a friendly, professional individual who communicates well with individuals of all backgrounds. He is easy to work with, he who cares deeply for the folks and programs with whom he works.

I deeply appreciate his efforts on our behalf and would highly recommend Mr. Harvey for any similar educational / community / advocacy / literacy program.

Respectfully,

Olan E, Mack
